Dr.Elena V. Kovalenko, MD, Ph.D., is a medical doctor specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Descendant of well known medical academic family, she graduated with honors from Moscow State Medical University. She started her professional task as a university professor -assistant to the Physical Rehabilitation Academic Chair. Elena combined her medical practice and caring for patients in one of the biggest hospitals in Moscow city with lecturing for students and postgraduate doctors at the University. In 1995, the UAE Ministry of Health invited her with other colleagues to develop and support Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the United Arab Emirates in the scope of the Russian-UAE international relations frame. As a result, she has worked in UAE for 28 years, taken positions in private rehabilitation centers and hospitals, from medical practitioners to specialized physicians, and is head of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department. Dr.Elena is a well-known physician in Abu Dhabi Emirate(UAE). Her working philosophy is "The patient is first.".Dr.Kovalenko is the Director of the Physiotherapy Department of a UAE Hospital and has enjoyed living in UAE since 1995.
