BURCU ERTÜRK KILIÇ

Dr. Burcu Erturk Kilic, apart from being a professional theatre actress and voice-over artist, academically specializes in arts-based learning in the Department of Educational Sciences at Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey. After graduation from the Political Science and Public Administration Department at Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2003, she had her master's degree in the Media and Cultural Studies Program at the same university. She has continued her education in Educational Sciences Doctorate Program at Bogazici University. Currently, she holds an administrative position as the Career Center Coordinator at Bogazici University and a professional trainer in the university's Lifelong Learning Center. In addition, Burcu has worked as a dubbing artist at the Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) and has taken part in many radio and TV projects as a vocal artist. She continued her academic career with her professional acting life by beginning with an acting association and then in an international theatre company, KunstRaum/SanatOdası, since she moved to Istanbul in 2011. She gives hands-on and active training in leadership, communication, digitalization, drama, arts-based education, creativity, teaching and learning methods, and studying as a researcher in many related international projects. She was a researcher in the EU Project, THEATRE, which aims to decrease drop-out in training and education through theatrical methods under "Cosquillas Methodology." Burcu has received the "2021 Bogazici University Doctoral Thesis Award" with her  Ph.D. thesis, which is about designing a creative arts-based program for leaders to prepare them for the conditions in the post-truth era of the 21st century.
