Patient Transfer and Retrieval I did critical & non-critical patients transports in ground ambulances and rotary wing (HEMS) air amb. Then I experienced in small jet fixed wing & large commercial airliner, repatriations, transfers and retrievals. Still part of HEMS in Fixed Wing Air Amb. based in Barcelona & Alicante. I am a current trainer/instructor & examiner of the med. staff in the specialised HEMS course of Alicante University and working with CCAT Aeromedical Training (UK company) for the provision of degree and diploma level training programs in transport medicine. I did more than 600 repatriations in 2010-2021: 16% HEMS missions, 32% commercial flight med. escort missions & 52% in dedicated fixed wing air amb. aircraft. I’m now the Med Dir of Int. Dpt of 2 hospitals in Barcelona & I’ve been during the last 3 years a Senior Medical Officer in a Med Assistance Cy. but also: Orthopaedic and Trauma & Pre-Hospital Medical Care
